During development, they fooled around with having the moving bonus fruit explode after a certain time elapsed. Pac-Man Almost Featured Exploding FruitGCC's engineers discovered an unused explosion graphic buried in the Pac-Man source. The engineers then figured out ways to supplement the Pac-Man design with their own ideas to create Ms. The printed machine language instructions spanned hundreds of pages which all had to be examined, dissected, and interpreted by hand.
